What do you See?

What I see is a girl

afraid of going down memory lane

afraid of any reminder of what happened

Afraid of speaking out to avoid being judged

afraid of seeking advice to avoid condemnation

a girl without a choice

who sees others as pure and sinless

sees God as a mountain

she cannot reach nor stand close to

because of her defiled body.

A girl who wishes her story was different

but does not know how to change the past.

a girl who wishes above all

to seal away the memory.

This is the tale of a girl

who was broken at a young age.
